Eddie Cooper
With over 20 years of culinary experience, Eddie Cooper continues to navigate new ground as an innovator in the dessert world.
His passion for food and art were realized in 1981 when he began an accelerated art program at the renowned Cass Technical High School in Detroit, MI. Eddie excelled in many aspects of art and design, and in his spare time took up baking to satisfy his infinite passion for desserts.
In 1985 he earned a scholarship to study fashion design at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. During his time at F.I.T., Eddie perfected his craft by working in established bakeries. Upon moving to Chicago, he flourished as a highly respected Garde manger and pastry chef and Lettuce Entertain You Corporation. In the interim, he began catering elegant dinner parties for the quiet dynasty industrialist John Farwell III, his wife Margaret and their distinguished guests.
Eddie joined the staff of Along Came Mary in 1995, and has served as Executive Pastry Chef since 1997. He manages a highly-trained staff of cooks and bakers, producing signature, homespun and upscale desserts for ACM's clientele and some of Hollywood's most memorable events. They include blockbuster movie premieres, celebrity weddings, presidential fundraisers and conventions, and award show after-parties. His work continues to be featured in publications and on television, such as Bon Appetit, InStyle, LA Confidential and Food Network's "Behind the Bash" GRAMMY extravaganza episode.
