Waiters, Bartenders, Chefs
Along Came Mary seeks highly motivated, experienced Waiters, Bartenders and Chefs for on-call, on site event positions.
To be considered for a waiter/bartender position you must have a minimum of 1 year catering/waiting experience within the last two years of employment. Restaurant experience must be bartending or table service at a fine dining establishment. Please do not fax resumes. Please call the event hotline for more specifics: 323-931-9082 extension 199.
We accept applications on Wednesdays only between 10am and 4pm. You must bring with you the following form(s)of identification:
A valid U.S. Passport
-or two forms of ID-
A Driver's License (or U.S. Military Card) PLUS one of the following:
A Social Security Card
A Birth Certificate
An Unexpired INS Employment Authorization.

Qualified candidates will be contacted for a phone interview and subsequent New Hire Orientation which is mandatory for all new employees to attend.
To be considered for a chef position you must have a minimum of 1 year experience of full time employment with a restaurant and/or worked numerous parties with a catering company. You may fax a resume to the attention of Bill Starbuck. Should Along Came Mary have an opening, you will be contacted and scheduled for an interview.
Our offices are located at 5265 W. Pico Blvd, between Fairfax and La Brea on the North side of the street. You may park on Pico in a metered spot or in the neighborhood behind our offices. Please do not park in our lot or the alley way, you will be ticketed and possibly towed. Please enter our office’s thru the back parking lot, look for the pink neon 5265 above the main entrance.
Internships
Along Came Mary Productions does not currently have any internships available. However when we do offer internships, they are offered under the following conditions: Internships are primarily administrative assistant positions. We look for enthusiasm, organization, flexibility and reliability (some food knowledge is a plus).
Some important considerations:
Interns MUST receive college credit.
Interns are unpaid.
Interns must commit to the equivalent of 2 full days per week.
We do not provide housing or transportation.
We do not teach catering, cooking, design or production.
What will you be doing? You will participate in a wide variety of support tasks in this case particularly geared toward the catering side of our business. You may be asked to do any of the following kinds of work under the direction of a supervisor:
Copying and faxing
Answering Phones
Placing orders
Running errands
Assisting with events
Mailing and filing
Typing and menu creation
This is a great opportunity to meet the key players in the Los Angeles Special Event and Gourmet Catering industry and get a taste of what goes into making special events special. We are a fun and hard working bunch. You will get an unparalleled look into the workings of LA’s finest Event Production Company.

Freelance Event Coordinators

Several years of experience in Event Production
Extensive computer experience (PC preferred)
Their own PC and email capabilities
Knowledge of Word, WordPerfect, and Exel
Some catering experience preferred
Compensation is based upon experience. Again, it is rare that we need additional coordinators. However, when time allows, we will hold “informational interviews” with qualified candidates.
