Long before being "green" was the thing to do, Along Came Mary has maintained a deep commitment to both our environment and surrounding community. Mary brings a strong sense of integrity and ethics to the company, and we maintain this philosophy in our daily operations and to each and every event we produce. Some of the ways in which we give back include:
- Every year, ACM donates countless pounds of leftover food to Angel’s Harvest, L.A. Food Bank and other local missions.
- We are always thinking about the environmental impact every day decisions have on our world, from the kind of paper we print with in the office to the biodegradable disposables we send to events.
- We take great care to recycle all bar product and work with our waste removal partners to properly discard kitchen, hazardous and other recyclable waste.
- We work closely with our vendors to make sure they are using the most energy-efficient generators, bio-diesel fuel, LED lighting fixtures and other event production practices and equipment.
- Mary and her staff lend thousands of hours of time and dollars to producing events for a variety of charities including Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Neil Bogart Foundation, National Resource Defense Council, UCLA School of Medicine and many others.
